2005: Taliesin

Congratulations to The University of Wisconsin-Madison on winning their third consecutive Concrete Canoe National Championship!

Taliesin Team

Overall 1st Place at Nationals in Clemson, S.C.

Ten months of innovative thinking, teamwork, and dedication allowed us to successfully defend the National Title.  The team achieved first place in the Design Paper and the Co-ed Sprint Race for the first time ever, and also finished first in the Men's Endurance race.  The team also achieved the most race points in UW-Madison's history, with 2nd place finishes in the Women's Endurance, the Men's Sprint, and the Women's Sprint.  We received 2nd place for final product, which justified all those long nights sanding in the lab.  The Oral Presentation took 5th place overall, behind many other outstanding presentations by our competitors.  With only two team members graduating and leaving school, our team hopes to remain strong heading into 2006 and beyond...
